What is your connection to Syracuse University?
Our connection to Syracuse University is deeply personal and meaningful—our daughter, Ruhi, will be joining the Class of 2029 this fall. From the very beginning, we have felt genuinely welcomed and inspired by the warmth, thoughtfulness and global outlook that define the Syracuse community. The support we have received at every step has reaffirmed our belief that Ruhi is entering an environment where she will be empowered to grow, lead and thrive. As parents, we are honored to be part of this journey and excited to contribute meaningfully to the Syracuse family.
Why do you support Syracuse University?
We support Syracuse University for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, global citizenship and student-centered values. As a family deeply rooted in education, we are inspired by Syracuse’s mission to nurture future-ready thinkers, compassionate leaders and change-makers. Its intentional outreach to international students and inclusive campus culture resonates strongly with us. We believe in investing not only in our daughter’s future but also in the broader vision of a university that is shaping the next generation of globally engaged citizens.
What does being a member of The Hill Society International (leadership giving) mean to you?
To us, being members of The Hill Society International is an opportunity to give back with purpose—to support an institution that reflects our values and to help expand its global reach. Hemant currently serves on the NUS Medicine International Council, Singapore. Rachna is actively involved with the UWCSEA Foundation as well as grassroots community initiatives in Singapore. We both believe in the power of education, community and shared leadership. This platform allows us to contribute not only through financial support, but also by engaging with intention—collaborating with others to shape an inclusive, forward-looking experience for Syracuse students from all corners of the world.
